Library Collection

The Library at present has a collection of more than 75,000 volumes including text books and bound periodicals. The audio-visual section has a good collection of CDs, audio and video tapes, gamphone records 16 m.m. films etc. The library subscribes to nearly 160 periodicals, of which most of them are subject journals. The library collection has been classifed and catalogued according to scienctific schemes

The library offers Public Access Catalogue (OPAC) - a computerized catalogue service. OPAC facilitates the search for a document by gicing information against the following items

Most of the books in the library are bar-coded. This facilitates quick issue and return of books. Members are given bar-coded ID cards and books are issued on producing the ID cards
